Courts in the US have been heading in a troublesome direction; namely, trying children and teens as adults. Case in point, troubled teen ( http://www.time.com/time/pow/article/0,8599,101847,00.html ) being tried as an adult. We as an society have to have more understanding when dealing with children.

Of course, the loss of patience is tied to the spike in juvenile offenses, and their brutality. The first step should be treatment. (Click here for more information on residential treatment for teens.) Imparting morality is still very much the domain of the family and parents.

What is your opinion? Do you think that teens should be tried as adults? Should they be rehabilitated or punished?
